Government of Prince Edward Island Website

The Government website (PrinceEdwardisland.ca) consolidates thousands of provincial government and peripheral resources and serves as a gateway to a large collection of independently managed department and agency websites. The top layer of PrinceEdwardisland.ca serves primarily as a central hub. It is the main point of contact for a broad scope of clients seeking access to Government programs and services as well as clients who want information about Government and Prince Edward Island, to find a job in Government or to complete an online transaction.

The government of Prince Edward Island (GPEI) wished to upgrade its website to meet current content and mobility standards, position the website to meet future needs, including service delivery, and to develop a web governance structure.

OpenPlus team worked with the GPEI consultant group to provide CMS industry experience and expertise. OpenPlus provided accessibility and mobility advice, systems architecture design, recommendations on systems and applications, business transformation opportunities related to the web, and cost estimations.

OpenPlus provided implementation frameworks and plans for how technology could be rolled out to the organization.
